Research-Creation · Sound · Physical Computing · Speculative Design
I am a experimental media artist, designer, and cross-disciplinary researcher working at the intersection of immersive sound, physical computing, and speculative design. My work explores the relationships between Black identity, technology, and embodied experience.
Background
My research-creation practice investigates the sonic, material, and speculative dimensions of Black experience mediated by technologies; as a means to embed alternative epistemologies into technology as procedural habits thorugh modification of the design and process. Through projects and explorations of Afrofuturist narratives, I create work that bridges historical inquiry with technological experimentation.
I work across disciplines including 3D content and simulation, AR/VR, interactive media, sound design, game design, and physical computing.
